Each day I plan to take a photograph and write about it.
It may be a thousand words. It may be more. It could very well be less.
It might be a poem. A snippet of dialogue. A short story. Or a random word salad of thoughts and emotions that photo elicits.
Whatever the outcome, it will be a journey.
I am on a quest to regain my passion for writing. My passion for life.
I spend the bulk of my day writing about deadly drug deals, alleged rapists and child molesters, fatal car crashes, and the occasional good deed.
That leaves little time for passion and poetry.
Once my day is over, my emotions are spent. Words fail me. I sit, dazed and frayed, numb.
This is a quest to rejuvenate. To recharge and recapture the thrill of writing a clever turn of phrase. To banish cliche and to seize a mood, a moment, a memory.
My passion.
Time to begin the adventure.
